Tottenham Hotspur’s head coach, Ange Postecoglou, faces the challenge of managing his team without the suspended Yves Bissouma in their upcoming Premier League London derby against Fulham. Bissouma received his marching orders in a recent match against Luton Town, as he received two yellow cards. The first was for a cynical foul, and the second for an unnecessary dive just before halftime.

Unfortunately, Bissouma adds to a growing list of absentees for Tottenham, which includes long-term injury victims such as Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, Alfie Whiteman, and Rodrigo Bentancur. However, there is some positive news as Rodrigo Bentancur is back in training after eight months of recovery from an ACL injury.

How Tottenham could line up against Fulham

With Bissouma sidelined, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will get a rare chance to impress as a starter, joining Pape Sarr and James Maddison in the midfield for Spurs. James Maddison has had a productive season so far, with two goals and five assists, but he is yet to directly contribute to a goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Son Heung-min, who was the Premier League Player of the Month for September, will lead the team as the captain.

Son Heung-min had a minor injury concern during the international break, but Coach Postecoglou has confirmed that he will be fit to play alongside Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski. Additionally, Brennan Johnson may make his return from a hamstring issue.

There were also minor injury worries for Cristian Romero, but the Argentine defender has been cleared to play. He will join Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, and Guglielmo Vicario in an unchanged defense.

The possible starting lineup for Tottenham Hotspur is expected to be: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Hojbjerg; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison.
