Meeting with Dragusin
The agent of Genoa center-back Radu Dragusin alleges he previously met with Newcastle United agents to discuss a possible trade. The Romania international’s move from Juventus to Serie A was made permanent this summer, and agent Florin Manea acknowledges that the fees requested suggest the 21-year-old’s next destination will be the Premier League.
He told TV Play via Sport Witness: “It’s not a Newcastle offer; I’ve met with both Newcastle and other teams.” Manea added: “I wouldn’t like it [return to Juventus], but he doesn’t know. In life you never know, even if Genoa will certainly ask for a lot of money for him. He still has a lot of room for improvement. He is aware that he’s now at 85% of his potential.”

“Will Dragusin leave Italy? Probably. AC Milan and Inter have also asked, but [for] those figures, he can only go to Premier League teams.”
In recent transfer windows, the Magpies have been connected with Conor Gallagher, yet rumors say they have always balked at Chelsea’s asking price. The former Crystal Palace loanee was the subject of further speculation in the summer, but has since established himself as a regular starter for Mauricio Pochettino.
Newcastle and Tottenham are said to be interested in the 23-year-old midfielder, but the Blues intend to initiate contract discussions with him in January. Gallagher is thought to be ‘open’ to the possibility of a fresh contract at Stamford Bridge.
