In recent weeks, Tottenham Hotspur have been connected with Galatasaray’s Kerem Akturkoglu.

Turkish source Fotomac said earlier this month that Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is a great fan of the winger.

Recently, Aksam stated that Tottenham had requested permission from Akturkoglu’s club to speak with him about a move next year.

Dean Jones, writing on GiveMeSport, has provided an update on the 25-year-old’s links with Spurs.

The journalist believes that Akturkoglu’s profile is “exactly” what Tottenham is seeking for right now.

This is because the Spurs are reportedly searching for attacking reinforcements, rather than an out-and-out No. 9.

‘Someone to keep an eye out for.’
Tottenham fans, according to Jones, should keep an eye out for the possibility of the Turkey international joining the Lilywhites.

“Well, they’re trying to scout quite a few players at the moment, Tottenham, that are just capable of adding another attacking edge to their team,” Jones went on to say.

“There have been numerous reports that they are scouting him [Kerem Akturkoglu].”

“I haven’t heard it personally, but it seems to fit with what I’ve been told they’re looking for.”

“Right now, they’re not looking for an out-and-out striker; they’re looking for another player who can play in and around that frontline.”

“So yeah, it’s certainly somebody to probably look out for, especially while Galatasaray are in the Champions League.”

Tottenham is showing interest in Akturkoglu, describing him as a highly intuitive finisher. Although primarily a left-winger, he possesses versatility to play in various positions across the front line. He is a young talent with the added advantage of Champions League experience.

Akturkoglu is recognized for his quick and instinctive finishing ability, typically scoring with first-time shots following brilliant moves, according to Breaking the Lines. Fotomac has revealed his current season statistics, which show five goals and seven assists in 18 matches, and he is apparently available for roughly €17 million, which is slightly less than £15 million.

Akturkoglu, who is 25 years old, has a bright future ahead of him and a plethora of experience at the highest levels of the game. Given his price tag, he appears to be an appealing and affordable alternative for Tottenham to enhance their offensive options.
