AC Milan now has seven players on the sidelines, which is far from ideal for head coach Stefano Pioli. A report has taken stock of the injury situation ahead of Sunday’s crucial match against Napoli.

In last night’s 3-0 loss to PSG, the Rossoneri were missing several key players, notably Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and had few choices on the bench. Pioli is therefore expecting for an improvement on that front in the encounter against Napoli.

According to MilanNews, despite dealing with physical weariness, Noah Okafor and Luka Jovic may be able to recuperate in time for the game. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is still healing from muscle inflammation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. He might be able to make the game, but it all depends.

Samuel Chukwueze and Marco Sportiello have left hamstring and left calf ailments, respectively. It will take some time for them to return to training, so there are no further developments on them today.

Finally, Fikayo Tomori got injured and had to leave the game against PSG (he was replaced by Simon Kjaer), but it was simply a knock. In other words, he is deemed fit. Ismael Bennacer and Mattia Caldara are also injured, although their recoveries will be much slower.
