Aston Villa are back in action on Sunday when they take on Luton Town at Villa Park. Unai Emery’s men will be looking to keep up the pressure on the Premier League elites against a Hatters side who have just one win to their name so far this term, struggling to adapt to the top-flight.

Villa head into this one in good spirits, too, having comfortably seen off AZ Alkmaar in the Europa Conference League, while they also defeated West Ham by the same 4-1 score-line last weekend to continue their fine start to the season. Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding Villa ahead of Sunday’s Villa Park clash.

It’s a “huge blow” for Jacob Ramsey to be ruled out again for Aston Villa after the attacker suffered a reoccurrence of a foot injury, according to Alan Hutton.

The Athletic reported that Ramsey, 22, has injured a metatarsal again after spending 10 weeks out when he broke his left foot with England’s Under-21s in July.

Emery has said: “Jacob will need time again to recover his injury. He has an injury, and he’s not going to be available.”

Hutton admits it’s yet another blow for the young attacker, who missed pre-season with Aston Villa and had to train alone to get up to speed with the rest of the squad.
