Arsenal have sent scouts to watch RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, monitoring him for a potential move, according to a report.

The Mirror report that Arsenal are understood to have sent scouts to watch Benjamin Sesko playing in the Bundesliga, monitoring him ahead of a potential move.

The same outlet claims RB Leipzig value Sesko at £40m, and that AC Milan are also interested.

Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic is quoted in the article confirming Milan’s interest in the striker in the past.

“I can confirm that I spoke with Milan in the past about Sesko when Maldini was there,” Basanovic said. “However, in that moment a transfer wasn’t possible, it was not the right time.

You never know in the future, Milan is a big club. Sesko feels very good now at Leipzig where he continues to grow.”

Despite that interest, Arsenal believe they can win the race against the Serie A club.

Reports from earlier this week suggested Arsenal were showing significant interest in the player, and had already initiated contact with his representatives.

Sesko has a contract until 2028, having only officially linked up with Leipzig this summer, so he’s not in a position to force a move

The 20-year-old striker has six goals in 13 games for his new club, having scored 29 times in 79 games for former side Red Bull Salzburg.

Those six goals have come in just 391 minutes on the pitch, a goal every 65 minutes, which is an impressive output for his age.

If he can keep that rate up when he’s starting more regularly, a transfer could well be on the cards before long.
