As he continues to grow at Goodison Park, Everton star Amadou Onana has stated he is not considering a transfer during the January transfer window.

The Belgian, who moved from Lille in a high-profile deal last summer, has been talking to DH Net about his experience so far on Merseyside.

In a €35 million transfer from the French team, the 22-year-old joined the Toffees and quickly made a name for himself under former boss Frank Lampard.

Since then, he has continued to hold that position, contributing significantly to the Toffees’ ultimate escape from relegation under Sean Dyche.

He has been receiving recognition for his early-season efforts and is currently a crucial player in Dyche’s preferred midfield three.

Since January of last year, Chelsea and Manchester United have both been mentioned as suitors for the young player, as is always the case when a talented player shines at a team in the lower part of the table.

In the summer, he was once more linked to a move, and according to recent sources, Manchester United is still interested in signing him before the January transfer market opens.

However, it appears that the player isn’t interested in the transfer at this time, stating that his main priority is still to get better.

“Last season, I developed mentally a lot,” he claimed.

“I’ve always battled for honours or medals. It’s a different mindset; you have to get used to losing virtually every weekend. Hard work, that we were under a great deal of pressure since the tale was weighing heavily on us.

“If that club had been in the Championship, I would have lived my entire life blaming myself.” I never forgot it since we were reminded of it every day.

“I continue to learn. both in terms of myself and football. This season we have to do more running, defence, and suffering. I accept that things.

“I don’t ask myself too many questions for the future. The only thing that will get me where I want to go is me. I have no intention of departing in January.
