Winsley Boteli is wanted by Everton as soon as transfer rumors surface.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton is closely monitoring talented striker Winsley Boteli of Borussia Monchengladbach.
According to the Italian journalist, Juventus is keeping an eye on the situation as well. Scouts are reportedly already keeping an eye on the 17-year-old charmer.
In anticipation of a possible future transfer, Boteli, who leads the under-19 Bundesliga in scoring right now, has joined forces with Chris Mandiangu as his new agent.
“Scouts are monitoring Borussia Moenchengladbach’s striker who recently signed with Chris Mandiangu as new agent. He’s currently top scorer of U19 Bundesliga.”
For many years, there have been problems with this particular portion of the pitch.
That problem would suddenly go away if Dominic Calvert-Lewin could stay healthy and play 38 games in a Premier League season, but he isn’t there yet, despite his current outstanding form.
Both Youssef Chermiti and Beto joined in the summer, but even after a few months at Goodison Park, neither has made much of an impact.
If Boteli were to arrive in the near future, he probably wouldn’t address those problems right away and would instead enroll in the academy so he may develop even more in England.
It is nice to see one eye on the future though, with Jarrad Branthwaite the perfect example of what buying young players can do in a couple of years, as he currently waltzes through games with ease.
