Barcelona is not alone in its pursuit of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi; Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also in the running.

The Premier League pair are reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian international, and Brentford and Aston Villa are also keeping an eye on him in front of the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

Despite playing in the Championship this season, the Nigerian international has Premier League experience, having played in 192 games for Leicester City prior to their relegation the previous season.

Ndidi’s contract with Leicester City is coming to an end, and in January, he might reach a pre-contract agreement with a European team.

The Foxes are hopeful that the 26-year-old inks a new contract before the end of the season since they are seeking to tie him down with a longer term but have not been successful in doing so yet.

With seven goal involvements in 15 appearances, he has been one of the club’s most important players this season as they look to make an instant return to the Premier League.

Ndidi, who is currently sidelined by a muscle ailment and will not be included in the Super Eagles squad for the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, is being connected to Atletico Madrid, Lyon, and Monaco, among other European clubs.
