When AC Milan plays Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night, the team’s ultras intend to hurl fictitious bank notes at Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Over 250 appearances in all competitions were made by Donnarumma for AC Milan since she joined the Rossoneri at the age of 14.

After rising through the junior ranks, he was viewed by many as their past, present, and future; yet, his legacy was slightly tarnished when he declined to accept a new contract worth £130,000 per week.

The 24-year-old would ultimately see out the remainder of his contract before moving on to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, which meant that his childhood team would not earn a single euro.

Tuesday night in the Champions League, Donnarumma—who is considered by many as one of the best goalkeepers in the world of football—will face his former team.
When the Italy international returned to the San Siro, it was inevitable that he would be met with hostility.

Furthermore, it has been widely reported in Italy that AC Milan’s ultras plan to throw fictitious banknotes at Donnarumma in order to draw attention to his alleged betrayal.

He added: “It will be different and unique for him but we will try to do our job as we do every time. It will be a beautiful situation and we will try to use this environment to play good foot

Aside from the notes that read “Mercenary,” “Man without honor,” and “Dollarumma,” some Rossoneri supporters will sport t-shirts bearing the number 71.

The Neapolitan tradition says that the number means “man with no values”.

During his pregame press conference, Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, talked about Donnarumma’s comeback and reaffirmed his commitment to “overcome the situation” and maintain focus.
Enrique remarked, “We worked more than we talked.” “Here, Gio has already competed for the national team. It’s a part of football; throughout history, numerous players have experienced it.

He’ll be able to move past it and concentrate on the game. Great champions experience this when they choose to begin a new phase in a different squad.
