Tottenham could be without dependable defender for a while after he picked up a hamstring injury in the defeat to Chelsea.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, has acknowledged that his squad and he have a mountain to climb because suspension and injury might end their season prematurely.

The biggest setback is not losing their perfect record as the season progresses, but rather losing Cristian Romero, their defensive anchor, who was sent off against Chelsea, and Micky van de Ven’s injury.

The manager says that the loss of the Dutch defender, who has been outstanding, will have a big impact on how well the team performs for the rest of the season.

With Van de Ven and James Maddison both hurt, Ange Postecoglou, who was still in pain from their loss to their sworn foes, acknowledged he had more serious concerns.

“It’s too early,” he said to the media. It’s kind of a big one with Micky. Madison received a nudge on the ankle.

“We had already lost one man. At that time, it was reasonable to make a few adjustments.

Before facing Aston Villa and Manchester City, Tottenham will need to pull themselves together with tough matches against a Wolves team that is more than capable of causing an upset.

They were put to the test in a way they had not been before this season in the match against Chelsea, and how they handle this will have a big impact on how good they are under Ange Postecoglou.
