Running back Bijan Robinson of the Atlanta Falcons was unquestionably one of the most promising young rookies on the offensive side of the ball heading into the 2023 NFL season.
To put it mildly, it was unexpected that the Falcons were prepared to select Robinson as high as they did in the 2023 NFL Draft (No. 8 overall), but it appeared as though they were prepared to start working with him straight away since they believed he could be a game-changer for the struggling squad.
Robinson had an immediate effect on the Falcons offense as he established himself as a dual threat who could harm the opposition’s defense both on the ground and in the air as a receiver.
With two straight victories and Robinson putting up big numbers, the Falcons got off to a fast start. However, it appears like Atlanta has been using its star rookie less and less as the season has gone on, which is uncannily similar to tight end Kyle Pitts.
Through Dov Kleiman, head coach Arthur Smith attempted to provide some clarification regarding Robinson’s recent lack of involvement.
