As transfer rumors surfaced in the last 24 hours, Ben Godfrey’s departure from Everton is now certain for January, and Rangers are interested in him.
Ben Godfrey, defender for Everton, may try to put an end to his nightmare at Goodison Park in January as he has interest from a number of teams.

The neglected Toffees center-back is a transfer target for Rangers, Tottenham, and Newcastle United in the January transfer window as they all try to strengthen their defensive lineups, according to online news source 90min (8 November).

Godfrey is reportedly being viewed by Bournemouth, Burnley, and Crystal Palace as he approaches an unavoidable departure at Goodison Park.
The York-born force seemed like a worthy addition when he was brought in by Carlo Ancelotti back in 2020. He had previously made waves for his former employers, Norwich City, in both the Premier League and the second division.

Godfrey’s early years at Carrow Road saw him show some incredible potential and progress in his game, notably in the Premier League. As a result, he commanded a relatively substantial sum of £20 million.

Since then, despite being badly hindered by injury issues and a lack of continuity in the Toffees first squad, the former Canaries defender has made 79 appearances on the blue half of Merseyside since his capture in 2020.

Sadly, this has persisted under Sean Dyche’s ten months as the club’s manager. The 25-year-old defender is now forgotten about more than two years after making his England debut in June 2021 and being hailed as one of the best young defenders in the nation.

The 25-year-old, who obviously needs a fresh start right now, might choose from a wide range of teams in the January transfer window. Several of those teams, including Burnley, Rangers, and Bournemouth, might give him the first-team opportunities he so desperately wants.
It won’t be shocking to see Godfrey look for pastures during the January window to rekindle his career, as he will soon be approaching the most crucial years of his career. It’s possibly the wisest choice he can make at this time.
