Sources: Man City and Leeds United sensation Finley Gorman agree to a £1.2 million fee

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Man City and Leeds United starlet Finley Gorman have finalised a record-breaking contract worth a total of £1.2 million.

It is believed that everything is now in place for the 15-year-old to join the Premier League giants following negotiations taking place over months.

Following his standout performances for the Whites’ youth teams, the fee is a British record for a player of his age.

The family of Daniel Farke is sad to see the young sensation leave Elland Road and has made efforts to persuade him to remain in Yorkshire.

But after much deliberation behind the scenes, including a tour of the state-of-the-art training facility owned by Citizens, the lure of Man City persuaded him to relocate.

Following the internet distribution of video of Gorman’s displays, he garnered a lot of attention on social media.

The attacking midfielder has made five appearances for Leeds side in the under-18 Premier League and has notched two goals and one assist.

He has also featured for England’s under-16 side this season earning starts in friendlies against Italy and Switzerland, having made his debut at this level aged just 14.

Despite being one of Leeds’ most highly anticipated prospects, he won’t be able to sign his first professional contract until he turns 17 years old.

Leeds’ first match following the international break is against Rotherham in the Championship, while Man City takes on Liverpool, who are currently in second place.

In other news, Leeds will begin discussing Archie Grey following Liverpool’s progress.
