Everton told ‘trouble’ averted as Leicester City stung over points deduction
The latest Leicester City news as the Foxes finished two points behind Everton in the Premier League last season.
Everton will avoid relegation from the Premier League again this season, despite a points deduction, according to the prediction of one pundit. But it could have been a very different story just a few months ago.
The Toffees were handed an immediate punishment of a 10-point deduction by the Premier League last week after being found guilty of breaking the organisation’s Financial Fair Play rules. It is now said that Leicester City are one of three clubs potentially looking to take legal action after the verdict.
City suffered relegation at the end of last season, finishing two points adrift of Everton and Premier League safety. Reports have claimed that City were urging the Premier League to push Everton’s case through quickly at the end of last season so that any punishment would be served then. If that had been the case, then City would have remained in the Premier League.
