According to Richard Keys, “Everton will be watching closely” as reports surface that Chelsea may be interested in signing Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, for “£100 million+.”

Everton was recently docked ten points for violating the profit and sustainability regulations of the Premier League.

It caused a jolt throughout the Premier League and made many wonder what would happen to teams like Chelsea and Manchester City, who are facing their own storm clouds.

However, as he stated in his personal blog, beIN SPORTS host Richard Keys implied that Merseysiders might feel a little betrayed, particularly if they witness Todd Boehly’s Chelsea continuing to spend lavishly.

The London club has spent an estimated £1 billion since the American took over, and it doesn’t appear that they will soon stop.

Victor Osimhen is a wanted man around Europe – especially by the big guns in the Premier League.

And with Chelsea in need of that number nine and talk about Victor Osimhen, it didn’t please Richard Keys.

Everton and Chelsea spending

“Oh, and I read that Chelsea are preparing a £100m+ January bid for Victor Osinhem,” said Keys.

“Having spent £1b under Todd Boehly – how? I’m sure Everton will be watching closely.”

Victor Osimhen – Premier League bound?

It’s probably a matter of time. He is a legend in Naples for helping Napoli secure their first title in three decades last season.

But the money is in the Premier League. A number of clubs can throw wads of cash at him.

And it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is playing for a team in England next season, it’s just a case of who?

Arsenal have also been admirers of the player and you would assume Champions League football will be needed to sign him – something Chelsea don’t have and they aren’t showing signs that they will finish in the top four either.
