Following their 10-point deduction, Jamie Carragher thinks that Nottingham Forest’s Premier League matchup with Everton is “really vital” for the Toffees.

Everton was fined for violating the Premier League’s financial regulations, which resulted in their drop into the relegation zone. On four points, they share the bottom spot in the table with Burnley.

Saturday at 5:30 p.m., Sean Dyche’s team travels to the City Ground to play Forest. The team’s last game before being docked points was a 3-0 loss to Manchester United.

Carragher feels Everton is under pressure to win against Forest in order to climb back up the table, especially with games against Newcastle United, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City coming up.

Speaking about their chances of surviving on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Carragher stated: “It feels like a really vital game, especially when you think of where they are in the table and the game against Nottingham Forest next week.”

“Everton’s start to the season hasn’t been too difficult on paper and it feels like there are some tough games to come, so the next game and the opposition they have got and the feeling they can get a point or a win there, it seems vitally important. It feels like a huge game for them next week.”
