INJURY REPORT

Hornets: OUT LaMelo Ball (R Ankle Sprain), Cody Martin (L Knee), Frank Ntilikina (L Tibia Fracture), Amari Bailey (G-League); QUESTIONABLE Mark Williams(Lower back contusion) Bulls: OUT Zach LaVine (R Foot Soreness), Onuralp Bitim (General Illness); QUESTIONABLE Torrey Craig (L Knee Soreness);

PROBABLE Alex Caruso (L Toe Strain) The Hornets (6-12) are headed to The Windy City to take on the struggling Chicago Bulls (7-14) in a game that was only scheduled after the conclusion of the NBA In-Season Tournament group stage. Chicago have hit the the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season.

With a player only meeting after one game, Zach LaVine on the trade block and now “Injured” as well as both Patrick Williams being benched and then re-inserted back into the lineup.

Head coach Billy Donnovan is under pressure, as he is currently the favorite (+100) as the first NBA Head Coach to be fired.

This is almost certainly the final year of the LaVine, DeRozan and Vucevic core. Despite their struggles, Chicago comes into this game on a two game win streak after two impressive outings against New Orleans and Milwaukee.

Hornets head coach Steve Clifford will be hoping for a reaction after he called out his team (And himself) for the team’s poor defensive performances this season. If he doesn’t see an uptick soon, he could be challenging Donnovan at the top of the “Next Fired” odds leaderboard.

Charlotte are 2-3 over their last five games, staying true to their Jackal and Hyde style. As they recently showed in New York, it could be a 91 point dud against the Knicks or a 129 explosion against the Nets.

You, me, nor Steve Clifford knows what to expect. Key Matchup: Mark Williams vs Nikola Vucevic Mark Williams has struggled in recent weeks with bigger, stronger centers who can out-muscle him. Vucevic is more mid-range orientated, but has oodles more skill that Gobert who struggles to do anything but dunk, but had a field day last time out against Williams.

The Bulls lead the league in mid-range attempts, hopefully Williams length and mobility contesting shots will help alter some shots.
