‘At this rate, it won’t take long’ – Club already ‘ready’ to pay Leeds for player, €5m deal on the cards

Leeds United loanee Diego Llorente is expected to be purchased by AS Roma very soon.

The centre-back was loaned by the Whites to the Giallorossi back in January, and is initially supposed to stay at the Italian side until the next summer.

Now Metropolitan Magazine comes up to explain why a permanent transfer may be found even sooner than expected.

Roma are having many injury problems in their defensive line, and that’s giving the Leeds loanee the chance to play many games.

The agreement between clubs says that the Giallorossi have an agreement to buy him for €5m in case he plays 50% of their matches this season, and ‘at this rate, it won’t take long’, says the story.

Roma are then said to be ‘ready’ for the purchase, which could actually turn into a good deal, since they’ve been linked to much more expensive centre-backs lately.

Now with him doing so well in Italy and getting valued by Transfermarkt at €8m, perhaps Leeds will be left with the feeling that he could have been sold for a little more.
