Crysencio Summerville announcement made by Leeds United today

Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville has been voted Player of the Month for November for the second consecutive month, with an announcement confirming the news.

The 22-year-old’s goal against Rotherham and assist in each victory over Plymouth Argyle and Swansea City has seen the player win the vote for Leeds’ best player through November.

Summerville took 45 per cent of the votes, while Georginio Rutter followed closely behind with 23 per cent. Joe Rodon (18 per cent) and Glen Kamara (13 per cent) were both nominated but the Dutch winger took the votes by storm.

The in-form forward also won the award for October, showcasing just how vital he is to the team and pushing for promotion back to the Premier League.

“It feels really good, it’s another boost for me to keep going, keep doing what I’m doing, scoring goals, providing assists and play the best game that I can for the team,” he said via the Leeds United official website on Thursday (7 December).

“I try to be the best version of myself every day in training, in recovery and off the pitch as well. On the pitch, there is only one goal, so I’m really focused, and that’s why I think I’m enjoying my football and hitting these achievements.”

A superstar in the making

The only worry for Leeds fans is that Summerville is almost playing too well. It is understood that several clubs are interested in the young winger, looking to acquire him during the January transfer window.

His eight goals and six assists in 16 league appearances make it easy to understand why outsiders are impressed. He changes games, pushes the whole team forward, and has helped Leeds to a current third-place standing.

It may have been a surprise to see Summerville start the season so well. His previous season in the Premier League saw him accumulate only four goals and two assists 28 appearances, and just 12 starts.

But in those 28 appearances, we saw glimpses of what he is capable of. And that is starting to come to fruition under Daniel Farke.

Winning back-to-back Player of the Month awards is just the start of what could be an incredible career for Summerville at Elland Road.
