This evening at Goodison Park against Newcastle United (19.30 GMT), Everton will be put to the test.

Winning would give the Toffees the chance to move out of the Premier League relegation zone, which would be extremely uplifting emotionally. After the club was found guilty of violating the profit and sustainability regulations, they were docked ten points. The supporters fiercely opposed the decision, and the team has since appealed.

After a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest last weekend, Everton should presently sit 14th in the table. Instead, they’re 18th and two points adrift of safety. Still, confidence in the squad will be high although results at home do need to improve. They have won just once at Goodison all season.

Newcastle, on the other hand, has carried over the momentum from the previous year, which led to Champions League qualification. The Magpies, who currently sit eighth, defeated Everton 4-1 in April and triumphed 1-0 over Manchester United in their most recent match.

Due to Amadou Onana’s (calf) absence, Dyche will need to decide whether to make changes to the lineup that defeated Forest. Here is what the Everton team is predicted to do before kickoff.
