Jamie O’Hara has said that Tottenham Hotspur attackers Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson were both really poor against West Ham United last night.

Spurs suffered their fourth defeat in their last five games, and they have dropped out of the Premier League top four. They lacked conviction in the final third last night, and O’Hara wasn’t happy with Son and Johnson’s performances.

Jamie O’Hara says Tottenham’s Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson were poor vs West Ham

Tottenham have hit a slump, haven’t they?

Ange Postecoglou’s men were flying earlier in the season. They were unbeaten in their first 10 games. Since then, they’ve picked up just one point from five fixtures, which is an awful return.

Yes, injuries have played a big part in their results, but Spurs should still be doing a lot better than they have done recently.

O’Hara had a real go at Tottenham after the defeat last night, and he named Son Heung-min and Brennan Johnson as the two players he wasn’t happy with.

He said on talkSPORT: “Tonight wasn’t good enough. The other games I can accept. We had big losses and we had to regroup and we had to pick ourselves up and we had to try and play some decent football against some decent sides.

“But tonight, that was poor, a poor performance. The two goals we conceded were pathetic, kicking it against each other, the short pass backs. Miles off it tonight, Son was poor, Brennan Johnson was poor. It wasn’t a good night for us.”

Tottenham take on Newcastle next

Tottenham’s recent run of results has been terrible.

Ange Postecoglou’s style of play is a joy to watch, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the results, and Spurs are struggling on that front.

Up next for them is another hugely difficult game – they take on Newcastle United. The last time these two sides met in the Premier League, Tottenham lost 6-1.

Spurs would love nothing more than to get their revenge on Sunday, but Newcastle lost last night too, and they will come out desperate to win the game. It will be a fascinating watch!
