According to MailPlus [subscription needed], Tottenham is now focusing on Morgan Gibbs-White, a 23-year-old. The English midfielder even captained Nottingham Forest at one point. Brennan Johnson was signed by Spurs in a prior transaction with Forest.
In January, Ange Postecoglou and his Lilywhites have been quite busy. Prior to the transfer window, it was obvious that the team would need to bolster its roster. The Spurs have been struggling with a number of injuries, making team selection a major problem.
Timo Werner’s deal is getting closer. According to Fabricio Romano, a deal for Romanian defender Radu Dragusin is close to completion. The group’s attention will now be focused on Morgan Gibbs-White.
The summer transfer window will see Tottenham pursue the youngster in an attempt to link him with James Maddison, their main playmaker and star midfielder. It appears that Maddison is pleased with Gibbs-White’s performance with the England U-21 squad.
He has made 22 appearances for Nottingham this season, tallying three goals and three assists. He has been a standout player for the squad. The 23-year-old has incredible talent and has the potential to become one of the Premier League’s top midfield players.
Postecoglou, who has been actively seeking out young players, will undoubtedly try to close a deal this summer. In 2022, Nottingham Forest spent £42.5 million to acquire Gibbs. It’s likely that Tottenham will need to pay more than that to get the English midfield player.
