Sevilla are continuing their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri despite Everton showing a keen interest.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga outfit want him to respect the verbal pact with personal terms agreed.
They are also offering a buy-back clause and putting in a buy option which they can exercise at the end of the season. Via Twitter, Romano wrote, “Sevilla keep pushing for Hannibal to agree and respect verbal pact as they want him on loan from Man United, as well as Everton. Buy option and buy back clause also confirmed as part of potential deal.”
Mejbri faces a compelling dilemma between Sevilla and Everton as both clubs express interest in securing a loan deal from Manchester United. The Spanish side are determined to finalise a verbal agreement, emphasising the inclusion of a buy option and a buy-back clause.
This signals Sevilla’s serious commitment to the talented midfielder while on the other hand, the Toffees, being in the Premier League, provides a familiar environment for the midfielder, potentially making a transition smoother.
The allure of staying in England, coupled with the competitive nature of the Premier League, may appeal to the 20-year-old.
However, Sevilla’s pursuit, backed by the promise of lucrative terms and the chance to develop in La Liga, presents a strong alternative.
Ultimately, Mejbri must weigh the financial and developmental aspects offered by Sevilla against the familiarity and intensity of the English top-flight, making a decision crucial for his career progression.
