Crystal Palace and West Ham United are all set to battle it out for the services of 23-year-old Sunderland winger Jack Clarke.

According to a report by Evening Standard, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are both keen on having Jack Clarke in their ranks. The 23-year-old winger has been in sensational form for the past 12 months, and quite a few Premier League clubs are pushing for his services.

The Jack Clarke Story

Clarke rose through the ranks at Leeds United prior to his summer 2019 transfer to Tottenham. Following his relocation, the 23-year-old’s life did not proceed as planned because he was frequently out on loan. In the winter of 2022, he went on a six-month loan to Sunderland. He permanently switched to the Black Cats in the summer of 2022 as a result of his outstanding performances, and he hasn’t stopped since.

Spurs chewed up and spat out Jack Clarke but Sunderland have harnessed his wonderful potential

He has made appearances in 98 games since joining Sunderland, helping to contribute to 44 goals. He has scored 12 goals in 26 games this season, making him their top scorers in the Championship. His outstanding performances have drawn attention.

The summer window saw a great deal of interest in Clarke’s services, and the winter window sees a comparable amount of interest in him. Up to five Premier League teams are prepared to make a strong bid for his services. West Ham and Crystal Palace are two clubs eager to duke it out for the 23-year-old.

West Ham United, Crystal Palace Want Jack Clarke

The injuries to Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen, and Lucas Paqueta have been devastating for West Ham. They also need offensive reinforcement because Mohammed Kudus is away attending the Africa Cup of Nations.Clarke, in the Hammers’ opinion, has the ability to advance their cause. He will not only add goals to the mix, but he will also offer depth.

The Eagles also require offensive reinforcement in the interim. Due to their lack of offensive power up top, they have had difficulty scoring goals all season. Crystal Palace is in a bind with Michael Olise sidelined for the remainder of the month due to injury, so bringing in the 23-year-old could be helpful.

Even if West Ham and Crystal Palace are eager to sign him, it won’t be simple to wrest him away from Sunderland in the middle of the season as they attempt to strive for promotion back to the English premier league. But according to the article, a deal beyond roughly £20 million might make the Black Cats reconsider.
