Aston Villa are set to confirm their first signing of the January transfer window as Kosta Nedeljkovic closes in on a move from Crvena Zvezda.
After joining Villa, the 18-year-old right-back is expected to play for the Serbian champions for the remainder of the 2023–2024 campaign. This week, Nedeljkovic is scheduled to arrive in England to finalize his relocation.
Earlier this month, Villa and Crvena Zvezda reached an agreement on a £6.5 million price that included add-ons. The Serbian team is anticipated to include a sell-on clause as well.
After making an impression in the club’s development teams, Nedeljkovic signed his first professional contract with Crvena Zvezda in February 2021. He later extended his contract in December 2022 until January 2023, when he was loaned out to Grafičar Beograd for the second half of the 2022–2023 season.

When Nedeljkovic was added to the first team squad for the 2023–24 season by Crvena Zvezda’s new manager Barak Bakhar in August 2023, he made his debut for the club after scoring his first goal as a senior while on loan at Graficar.
This season, Nedeljkovic has made 12 appearances in Super Liga Srbjie and has tallied one assist. This season, he has also made four appearances in the Champions League.
