Everton are in the mix to sign Belgian winger Largie Ramazani from Spanish club Almeria in the January transfer window.
A report from El Mira claims that a number of teams, notably Lille and Olympique Lyon, are vying for the signature of the 22-year-old winger, who is still drawing interest from teams throughout Europe.
Almeria may be busy in the last few days of the window as they aim to truly revolutionize the winter transfer market. They would be happy to see a number of players go, and Ramazani might be among them.
The Toffees have been financially crippled and they are likely to remain quiet throughout the window. However, Sean Dyche would welcome one or two signings, especially if it comes in the form of loans.
Ramazani joined Almeria in 2020, and he is valued at around £6.8m. As of now, no clubs have made a bid for him, but it seems he has no shortage of admirers.
It’s hard to see Everton making any transfer moves this month. The Toffees are fighting for survival this season after they were docked 10 points, and could suffer more punishment after breaching PSR rules.
It will be nearly impossible for them to mount a solid defense and maintain their Premier League standing if they drop any more points at this point.
But if Everton is forced to part with one of their best players, say Amadou Onana, then things might be different. Newcastle and other Premier League opponents have their sights set on the Belgian midfield player, and the Toffees are anticipated to seek a sum of approximately £50 million for him.
If so, they are able to make some purchases during the January transfer window. For them, the Ramazani deal appears to be challenging.
